This partnership will provide the Noakes Team with the resources to challenge for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series’ divisional championship as well as contend at the NHRA national event racing level.

NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Cars are purpose built drag racing cars powered by a supercharged and fuel-injected 500-cubic inch engine but are restricted to the use of methanol (alcohol) fuel and have a three-speed transmission. Similar in physical appearance to their nitro-burning Funny Car counterparts, Top Alcohol Funny Cars feature basically the same chassis as the nitro cars and are fitted with the same carbon-fiber replica bodies that loosely resemble a production-based automobile. Top Alcohol Funny Cars are capable of quarter mile race performances in the 5.5 second range at more than 260 mph and offer some of the best side by side racing in all of motorsports1.
